The Authorized King James 1611/2011 Bible

Thousands of spelling changes have already been made in the AV King James Bible
since 1611 (but spelling changes are not textual “revisions”). Now, here is the AV
King James Bible with 21st Century spelling, and no other changes – look at the difference:

                                King James 1611

Ruth 2:11 And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit

The superscript “ s ” in the “KJ2011” tells the reader that the “you” is singular. In the King James Bible, “thee” and “thou” is always singular; “you” and “ye” is always plural. To translate “ye”, “you”, “thee”, and “thou”, all as “you”, without conveying whether the Hebrew or Greek is singular or plural, is to mistranslate one-half of the verses in the Bible, as is done in virtually all modern English versions. This is more serious in some verses than others when it makes it impossible or guess work to tell who is being spoken to. For example, in John 3:7 (above), since “you” without a superscript “ s ” in the “KJ2011” is always plural, the Lord Jesus said to Nicodemus “You must be born again”, that is, “you all” (all mankind). And most of us thought He was just talking to Nick!

The superscript “ d ” tells the reader that this word is in the dictionary in the back of the “KJ2011” Bible; most in-Bible dictionaries don’t get used much because most words you look for are not there. With the superscript “ d ”, every word you look up is there, and it covers virtually all words not in common use.

The “KJ2011” is not a “new” King James Bible. Historically, the 1611 King James Bible is the last (and best, especially because it corrected earlier versions) English translation ever made from the not critically edited Masoretic Hebrew and  the Greek text of 98% of the 6000+ Greek manuscripts of the NewTestament, including the oldest. Please entertain the following question: Doesn’t this make the King James the only English translation that can even claim to be from the inspired and preserved Bible? (This question is well answered in Enough Of This Bible Confidence Game.) This is not a subtle “King James Only” statement, wherein these dear people claim that the Hebrew and Greek can be corrected from the King James English; however, there are many promises in which God guarantees to every generation

the true 100% inspired and 100% preserved “Original” Scriptures: Ps. 12:6,7; Isa. 40:8; II Tim. 3:16,17; II Peter 1:19-21; John 10:35b.... It’s about getting our Bible back, not “King James Only” nor “scholar/priest preserved” dogma. We are contending “for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 3b)!
